The Rio Barbaira canyoning is a a real gem located about 1 hour from Nice, very close to the Italian border, in the Liguria region, near Ventimiglia. Renowned for the purity of its turquoise waters, sculpted walls, and lush vegetation, it is one of the most beautiful canyons accessible from the Alpes-Maritimes.
The day begins with a Approach walk of about 40 minutes on a mule track, already offering superb views of the clear rock pools that await you. We will then equip ourselves at the foot of a Genoese bridge, a unique and historic setting, before entering the paradise of canyoning.
Canyoning in the Barbaira canyon is particularly appreciated for its playful and progressive nature. The route is an uninterrupted sequence of jumps from 2 to 10 metres (always optional), Small reminders, natural slides and long swimming areas in crystal-clear stretches of water. Everyone progresses at their own pace, in a friendly and safe atmosphere.

These routes are a bit longer and therefore require better endurance. They remain perfectly accessible to anyone energetic, comfortable in their movements, and who enjoys physical exertion outdoors.

For our day trips, a good level of fitness is sufficient. Whether you are a beginner or already experienced, the most important thing is to want to get moving and discover wild landscapes.
The intermediate routes offer a more immersive and complete experience: the descents are longer and the obstacles (jumps, abseils) are a bit higher. Rest assured, your guide knows every nook and cranny and will adapt the crossing of obstacles according to your comfort and your desires at the moment.
